She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, from which she holds a B. A. degree. Mrs. Ralls has several special interests. She enjoys sewing, refinishing antiques, and also flying with her husband. A well-known figure to many freshmen and sophomores is MRS. AILEEN HARRIS. Mrs. Harris attended several collegesg namely, Smith College, Bryn Mawr University, and Birming- ham-Southern, where she earned a B. A. degree Mrs. Harris' hobbies include reading, cook- ing, horseback riding, and bridge. A very familiar personality to many seniors is MRS. LOUISE HIGGINBOTHAM. She teaches senior English and also has a senior homeroom. Mrs. Higginbotham holds a B. S. degree from the University of Alabama. She enjoys reading and needlework. However, this past summer she developed a new interest - jigsaw puzzles. I9

As a speech major and a member of the University Theatre at the Uni- versity ofAlabama, Mrs. Hixon made a U. S. Army Tour of five Southern states. Mrs. Hixon's most enjoyable hobbies include reading and cooking. Her specialty is her de- licious chocolate chip cookies. A new -comer to our family of English teach- ers is MISS GLORIA HOOTEN fbelow lefty. Miss Hooten graduated from the University of Ala- bama with a B. S. degree in education. Miss Hooten enjoys reading as her hobby. MRS. MARY SMITH fbclow rightj came to Jones Valley the second semester of last year from Ensley High School. She teaches sopho- more and junior English. Mrs. Smith specifically designates shopping as her favorite pastime. She also enjoys fishing and reading. She holds a B. S. degree from the University of Alabama. im, Q l 1 ll ,ig ,l I8

Coach Part- ridge taught and also coached at West End High School last year. He teaches history and coaches football and baseball. Coach Partridge graduated from Samford University with a B. S. degree. 20 MISS MARYLEE REYNOLDS is pictured at a very familiar task to her history students - the grading of booklets. Belonging to several his- torical societies, Miss Reynolds is very much at home in the history department. She teaches economics, government, and American History. Miss Reynolds holds a B. A degree from Lambreth University and an M. A. degree from the University of Alabama.
