Behind the closed doors of Room 402 are spolcen some very choice words of wisdom. They fall in line under the heading of the Tours and Discussion Club. lts main purposes are to find some solution to teeneage prolalems, increase interest in local and na- tional affairs, and bring about a laetter acquaintance of local points of interest. The Tours and Discussion Clula, organized hy Nr. Pail, meets on the second and fourth Fridays of each month, during division period in Room 402. The TDC ofhcers for the fall semester were Lila Davis, Betty Gill, and .loan Adams. They were suc- ceeded in the second semester hy ixlarianne Slajchert, Carol Gay Herhert, and Elaine Elaslcy. These com- mittees of looth semesters did a commendable jot: of conducting and planning the meetings in an orderly fashion and ohtaining successful results. Topics for discussion are chosen hy the memlyers upon request and turned over to the committee. Views are presented in a Pro-and-Con Forum, and the suhject is then open for further comments. ln this way each person receives an opportunity to voice his opinion on the topic. Topics chosen for the past meetings were Teen-Age Florals, After-School Em- ployment, Smoking, and Eating Gut for Lunch. The cluh has also had Miss Teitge as guest speal4er to fur- ther interest in reading the educational and entertain- ing lxoolts afforded us in lnoth our own school lihrary and the puhlic lilararies. Plans are heing made to show movies during meetings on our National Parlrs and also on American lndustry and Recreation.
