Autumn has come as it always had. But this time it's different it's kinda sad. We came back to school for the last time. Adults, they tell us, we're in our prime. After this year we'll be faced with a choice. Decisions, decisions, comes a soft voice. Whatever we choose to be or to do. The memories of school will always come through. These years that we've shared, together as one Will last even though our school work is done. So let's not feel sad at the end of this year. We'll look towards our future without a fear. The pep rallies, the games, and the parties were fun. So was the lake where we played in the sun. All of our problems we'll find a way to fix Because we're the greatest! The class of 86. We, the class of 1986, are unique in ways of talent and interests as well as scholarship. First, the talent of our class is shown by the number of participants in sports. Our athletes consist of football players, basketball players, cheerleaders, baseball players, track stars, and tennis players. Second, our classmates are academically inclined, as is shown by the amount of members in NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Club, and Spanish Club. Furthermore, our class has strong leader- ship characteristics displayed by the number of officers in student council. As one can see, the graduating class of 1986 is a very special one. We wish to remain forever in the memory of those who've known us at Jones High. We all let our imaginations run wild, and the results were extraordi- nary. Some were a little camera shy, like Cory Shaw, the cheerleader. Some were creative, using garbage bags for costumes. All in all, it was a fun day—a day to let go and hang loose. Teachers even caught the spirit. 114 PEP ASSEMBLIES Pep assemblies provide the opportunity to show our teams that we support them and are rooting for them. Each assembly is a special time for togetherness and a show of unity. The cheerleaders are in charge of each assembly. They lead the cheers, present skits to award the Spirit Stick, and prepare special activities during some of the assemblies. Jeff Sleeper enjoyed the pie-in-the-face activity—more than did Coach Warehime, who was a good sport. 115 SCHOOL CAN BE STIMULATING. Vocal Expressions in practice session Once, more, class.
