October 1, 1977 - Homecoming Mrs. J. B. Young, shown above with her family, and Dr. and Mrs. Alton Bryant won the Honor Alumnus Award for 1977. This award was presented to her at the Alumni Dinner attended by a large crowd of friends on Homecoming Day at Jones County Junior College. The new Health and Physical Education Building was dedicated and officially opened Homecoming Day. ln this building are a gymnasium, handball court, weight and exercise rooms, classrooms, locker rooms and sauna and whirlpool bath.
