Criminal Justice Club xx T ti it The Criminal Justice Department at Jones Junior College has recently organized the Alpha Chi Gamma Chapter of Lambda Alpha Epsilon fthe American Criminal Justice Associationj, Presently the chapter has 25 members. The officers include: President, Steve Chisolmg Vice-President, Nan Edwards, Secretary, Ramona Knightg Treasurer, Resa Goodwin, Sgtfat-Arms, Freddie Reeves, Reporter, Mary English. On Oct. 14-15, Ramona Knight and Mary English attended a regional business meeting on the campus of Alabama State University in Montgomery, Ala. The association is dedicated to the furtherance of professional standards of criminal justice, the fostering of assistance and understanding between members, and the promotion ot greater public understanding of the problems and objectives of those agencies devoted to the administration of criminal justice. Pictured below are ROTC members participating in Homecoming Parade SGM Wiley Whitworth a veteran of both Korea and Vietnam is the instructor of the JCJC ROTC fReserve Officer Training Corps? program SGM Ciiergeant Maiorp Whitworth has been a member of the U S Army for 28 years He has worked in everything from operations te M 60 tank platoons on maneuvers in The Federal Republic of Germany The basic ROTC program introduces the student to various military subiects Military Science I covers military weapons basic military organization up to the company level, and tactics used up to platoon Ievel.ifWlilitary Science ll teaches the student the fundamentals of reading military maps. Military Science lll deals exclusively with American Military l-listpry. steigient corttinue the programiiggggp a yyi, year bipenrolling in Military Science Leadership Development I, ll, and lll, The emphiisis is placed on student participation in various ROTC training activities during the second year ROTC program. On Feb. 3, the Vo-Tech PBL sponsored a bake sale to raise money for upcoming events, The vocational-technical division and the academic division of PBL of Jones County Junior College hosted the Future Business Leaders of America, Southern Dis- trict Leadership Conference on February 1Oth.
