The Maroon Typhoon had a very eventful season in 1977. The band was rated Top Band in South Division of State last fall and played for the All4Star football game. In California they competed with and defeated four too California bands. They received an invitah tion to march in the Nlardi Gras parade and to play tor the Los Ange- les Rams football game. The band is recording an album of all the shows compiled and its concerts. Favorite tunes ofthe band this year were: My Way, McArthur Park, Rocky, Russian Christmas ll!lusic, and New World. The favorite halftime shows for the band were the Rose Bowl Show, the Co-Lin Show, and the Gulf Coast show. Rifle Corps i :- 203
