Baptist Student Union The Baptist Student Union is on campus to support and involve Chris- . tian Students. Aithough we are supported by the Southern Baptist Churches, our programs are non-denominational. Our major goals on f campus are to provide a place where students can come to relax, study, play ping pong, or just sit around in a Christian atmosphere, and because of our love for Christ, we want to share our faith with fellow students. The BSU is involved in many on and off campus activities. During the school year we have 2 parties every quarter. These parties are usually tor all JCJC students. Every day we have two twenty-minute devotionai times. Morning watch is at 8:00 a.m. and noon-day is at 12:00 p.m. These devo- tional times are directed by the students. On every Monday night there is an hour rap session that discusses everything from sex to the Rapture. This rap time is called Vespers and starts at 7:00 p.m. every Monday. The BSU is very involved in Campus activities. This year we were voted irl in the spirit pep rally, iii Homecoming Float and iii Spirit poster. Our vol- ley ball and basketball team, God Squad, has made it to the finals of both tournaments. The BSU is for everyone.
