Marathon Run For 25 hours the game ball for the state championship between Jones County Junior College and ltawamba Junior College continuously circled the field. For this marathon, fans kept the ball going around the field throughout the afternoon, night, and the following morning. Dr. Tisdale made the first lap and then presented the ball to lVlr. D. O. Thoms, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, who ran the second lap. Some ran for hours, others only half a lap, but enthusiasm remained high and they kept up its restless tour around the field until kick-off time. The longest run was made by Wil- liam Kelly, who ran eight miles non-stop. The BSU were the most spirited and the Law Enforcement group made it a family affair. ik H+' - .X I V' , ! 4' Rx k
