SPIRIT “IT see you stand like greyhounds in the slips ... Follow your spirit. ...”’ WIL- LIA M 1. Bryan Tompkins, JCHS quarterback, finally takes a SHAKESPEARE break from his busy schedule. 2. LaJuana Daniel and Tracy An aura that exudes even to the out- Bloodworth smile with pride er most limits of the school, spirit is with the regional victory be- like a contagious fever for which hind them. there is no cure. This undying spirit touches all, making us one. The school becomes a massive chain, and every person contributes to form a link. The soul of the school is bared when the Greyhounds of any sport come onto the field or court. From the noisy bleachers, to the quietness of an empty classroom, the spirit is there. Spirit is something that cannot be touched but is like a burning wild- fire that enraptures the student body and even the administration. Spirit reaches beyond race, color, creed, or religion, pulling people of different backgrounds together. Yes, long after the craziness of Spirit Week fades and after winter’s chill becomes a sweet kiss of the summer sun, the spirit of Jones County High School lives on. 8 OPENING
