MEMORIES IN MOTION Jonathan Dayton Regional High School are words that possess such an awesome connotation to the timid eyes of incoming young freshmen. Yet, these words are also respected and admired by so many. Now we know after perennial sojurns through the crowded hallways that Dayton is a col- ossal melting pot of memories. If we stop and think, it is amazing and ironic that this dreaded, respected and glorified haven of adolescence is our catapult into the social and intellectual worlds. It is the individual, however, that makes Dayton what it is and will ever be. For we are diverse. Different in infinite varieties. A mold so incredibly rich in personal attributes and individuality that if we don ' t stop and consider ourselves once in awhile, we just might miss out on the biggest and best times of our entire lives. So, as simple advice to most significantly remember your glory days at this institution, look not to particular events of materialistic forthcomings, but to yourselves, and how much we, as in- dividuals, have gained, changed, and witnessed within these halls. And also remember, no matter what you may perceive at the commencement of a radical and new transition, the end result will most certainly please as well as amaze the most pessimistic and cynical of observers, for within ourselves is the potential to ac- complish any goal we may set out to achieve, no matter how intangible it may first appear. Life goes by pretty quickly. If you don ' t stop and think once in a while, You just might miss it. l 16
