DISCOVERING THE UNKNOWN S C I E N C E The Science Department is geared towards help- ing us to learn about and experience the world around us. Students learn through experiments, lectures, and disections. Actually seeing the in- nards of a disected animal or mixing the substances to produce a chemical reaction helps to make the science courses much more interesting and understandable. Science can help students develop an awareness of the miraculous function- ing of the life processes in even the most simple plants and animals. Dayton has many different science-related courses which can appeal to the diversified interests of its students.
