Mr. Thomas McCabe Mr. Martin Taglienti SPECIAL SERVICES Two key factors necessary in providing a good foundation of learning are good reading skills and a strong scholastic environment. If a student has been unable to develop these traits on his own he must be given instructions on how to acquire them. This is the job of the Special Services Department which provides invaluable aid in encouraging the desire essential to the learning process. A successful high school student has found it necessary to adjust both socially and scholastically to the world around him. Ready to help him at any time, no matter how small the problem, is the Special Services Staff comprised of doctor, nurse, dentist, and psychologist. These people are working together to prepare all students for their present and future experiences. So few students are aware of who main- tains organization in the school, who plans and prepares our meals, or who keeps our school safe and sanitary. Without the proficient work of our Girl Fridays , Dayton might be in quite a turmoil. On the other- hand, Miss Maitland and her staff take particular interest in the preparation of nourishing food for us and provide a generally pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to our friendly custodians our school is always kept in the best condition. Without the services these people perform the process of learning would be greatly hampered.
