Board of Education The goal of Jonathan Alder High School is to impart that knowledge, build those skills, form those habits, develop those attitudes, and practice that way of living which will make good cit- izens - present and future. Jonathan Alder is proud of its Board of Education. The members give freely of their time and effort without tangible recompense. They serve both community and school. Their decisions show wisdom, tolerance, and progressive thinking.  Principal’s Message To many persons in the community, the yearbook is an eye-opener. The ever- increasing functions of the modern secondary school can be shown to the community through a good yearbook. The Powder Horn is a story and picture example of good sportsmanship, good citizenship, good fun, good scholarship, and good friends that will be remembered long after school is over. Congratulations, Mrs. Sayre, and staff of Powder Horn. GORDON E. Teach- ing staff, curriculum, and facilities are ineffective if the student does not supply the individual effort.
