Awards John Karrer presented his picture of the school to Mr. Oxley and Mr. Robinson. Norman Elias received the John Phillip Sousa Award. The outstanding seniors receiving a pin in music were Jane Adkins and John Karrer. Miss Meyer presented awards to girls in C.A.A. Those receiving a charm were Judy Bowers, Marilyn Beach, Betty Spencer, Beverly Foulk, and Janice Dillion. Mrs. Hinkle gave the Senior Sci- ence Award to John Karrer. Seniors taking part in the Senior Schol- arship Test were John Karrer, Edna Hel- muth, Larry Chandler, Carol Graber, lorn ihomas, Jane Adkins, and Robert Miller.

Senior The V.F.W. Award presented by Post 3268 was presented to Sharon Blythe and Monroe Harbage. Commander Lee McAdow presented the American Legion Good Citizenship Award to John Karrer and Janice Dillion. Carol Graber received the DAR Good Citizenship Award. Mrs. Cary presented the Senior Scholastic Awards to the following students: Edna Helmuth and Carol Graber received a scholarship to Findlay College, Bob Miller re- ceived a Stadium scholarship, and Ted Hammond and Chris Walker received a scholarship for a ten week training program at Ohio State University. Miss June Moor presented the Out- standing Home Economics Award to Beverly Foulk. She also pre- sented the Betty Crocker Award to Emma Hershberger. 15

It was rung July 8, 1776, to call citizens to assemble and pro- claim the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. The inscription on the bell is, Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.
