The Atomium is the theme structure of the Brussels world fair, it towers 320 feet above the grounds. The Atomium contains Europe’s fastest elevator which carries tourists to a restaurant in the top globe. Superintendent ’s Message The Powder Horn should not give to you seniors the thought that your education is complete. Think of your life as a contin- uous educational process that leads to the development of an appreciation for all that is good. Real and lasting success does not come to the person who takes the attitude that the world is indebted to him. Look upon the world as a place which offers you untold op- portunities to be of real service to your fel- low men. Affiliate yourself with those in- stitutions and movements that have for their purpose the making of a better world. ' r. Principars Message lo Mrs. Sayre and Powder Horn Staff: I know that in your attempt to make each Powder Horn better than the preceding one it takes much effort and ingenuity. 1 wish for you the best of luck in this endeav- or. May the 1959 edition of the Powder 1 lorn be the best ever. Faculty Belgium's capital city of Brussels, with its churches, cathedrals, theaters, and museums was the scene o the Fair.
