Tiger sophomores compile 8-1 dual meet record With an impressive record, the West sopho- more thinlies added another successful season to their history. Compiling an 8-1 record, the sophomore team captured the conference cham- pionship while returning the first place trophy for the West Sophomore Relays to the trophy case. Notre Dame, a non-conference foe, gave the sophomores their only defeat of the season. Especially impressive victories were recorded in the Lockport Central meet, joliet East meet, and Argo meet which West won with scores of 109-17, 98-18, and 101-25. Outstanding sophomores for Coach Roger Swank were sprinters Dave Bogdan and jarrett Hubbard, while Pete june and Craig Zook per- formed in the hurdles and longflistances re- spectively.
