Physical education needs coordination and muscles jumps, rolls, turns, kicks, and rotations made up routines which girls created in a new course, free movement. Imitating the olympic- stvle competition, girls learned to formulate action and reaction into patterns. An eighty- foot floor plan supplemented the final demon- stration in dance creativity. 'iHow much do I have to lose? was the worry sounded by distraught senior girls during body mechanics, Designed for physical develop- ment, techniques required struggles with diets and exercises which tired the body and soul. Sweat streamed freely as Tigers clashed on frozen turf during soccer games. P.E. in- structors refereed soccer, wrestling, and oth- er rough and tumble activities in bovsl gym classes.
