Snowman, 700 snowflakes featured at winter formal Seven hundred snowflakes, a nine-foot snow- man, a sleigh loaded with packages, and fifteen Christmas trees decorated the cafeteria for the fourth annual winter formal, Winter Wonder- land. Sponsored by the Alpha Omega staff, the dance took place on December 21, 1968. Announcement of the 1969 Miss Alpha Omega highlighted the evening. To the surprise of everyone, there was a tie for first place. Marla Stelow and Debbie Klein shared the honors of being Miss Alpha Omega. According to tradition, they were crowned by Miss Alpha Omega of the previous year, Su Sehiek. First and second runner-up awards were taken by Judy Rodby and DeAnna Pederson.
