Organizations Girls, Athletic Association offers diverse activities Girls' Athletic Association provided girls the opportunity to take part in sports and ac- tivities such as bowling, apparatus, modern dance, and free exercise. They met for activi- ties on Tuesday, Vlfednesday, and Thursday afternoons. GAAls sale of slave tags took place during utwirp week and set the mood for their annual dance, Autumn Fair, which was held in the girls' gymnasium on November 22. Two girls were chosen to represent XVest at the CAA summer camp. This year President Lynda Califello and Vice-president jean Seholtes received the high honor. CAA was made up of approximately -150 members. They held a Christmas party in Dec- ember and the mother-daughter tea took place on May 20. Other officers serving GAA were Linda Stofko, treasurerg jo Ann Chopp, secretaryg Rae Kezerle, social chairmang Elaine Honiotes, historiang Gail Class, activities chairman. Board members included Debbie Sterle, Linda janovyak, jeanne Martinson, Marcia Engleman, and Mary XVorkman,

Vocal groups visit sand dunes, present concerts Boasting a membership of 108, Treble Choir sponsored Color My Wforlcl, a semi- formal dance, in early March, Prior to this event, members performed in the mid-winter choral concert on February 23. Funds for the clnbis treasury were acquired from the profits of two bakery sales. Two members of Treble Choir, Pam Niac- kley and Debbie Fortenberry, were accepted by the all-American Youth Chorus, As members of this group. Pam and Debbie gained the op- portunity' to participate in a summer concert tour of Europe. Members of Boys Clee Club were also par- ticipants in the mid-winter choral concert. ln ad- dition, they presented a special performance for the students of Hufford junior High. Freshmen Chorus members enjoyed a fall hay-rack ride and the profitable sponsorship of a bake sale. In cooperation with Treble Choir, Freshmen Chorus members helped present a Christmas concert on December 20. In the spring, members of all vocal groups participated in a trip to the Indiana sand dunes, Attentively watching the gestures of the director, Treble Choir members Pat Hog- an and Rogeria Powell concentrate on their parts in thc alto section.
