Inside the school the student body divided itself into groups in the form of classes, clubs, student government, and athletic teams. These groups worked to- gether in allied force to create floats, an operetta, a homecoming, or athletic vic- tories at Joliet West. Much work and time was required to do well in these extracurricular activities. Time spent in preparation for all activities at West was extraordinary compared to the time spent at the final presentations. Introduction 7
