112 Tiger Tales staff donates time as service to school Tiger Tales staff members worked quickly and efficiently to convey school news to the stu- dent body. uOur primary purposef, claimed editor-in-chief Tim Pohlman, His to let the students know what is going on in the school and to give them a chance to voice opinionsf, Because of financial difficulties in the school district, the newspapers in all three schools were officially eliminated. However, due to Mr. Crum and the staff donating their time after school and in the evening, the newspaper was continued. To belong to the organization, students were required to participate in debate, individual events, or some form of drama. Individual events participants attended more tournaments than ever before and gained much experience during the vear. i'One word to de- scribe this vearls program is 'growth',', stated sponsor Miss Kathy Kelly. On Borrowed Time bv Paul Osborn, pre- sented as the contest play, won first place in district, second in sectional, and third in state competition. Individual events contestants won the Sweepstakes Award for the most points in district competition between eight schools. JJWR NFL state champion Mike Dzurko displays expression and vigor as he gives a portion of his ortorical declamation.
