Coached by Mr. Kistner, the team achieved an eight-five-one record and a second place standing in the Illini 8 conference. Supplementing this feat was the winning of sec- ond place in the Grant Park Invitational Tourn- ament by the golfers. Seven strokes barred the way between the Tigers and a first place trophy. Material for future varsity teams appeared promising as the Sophomore -Golf team finished their season with an upset victory over Catholic High. Many hours of hitting shags at the practice range helped make possible the good season of golfteams.
