Rehearsals got under way as Mr. Johnson directed the orchestra an y Linda Bogdan worked hard along with others on make-up crew. Here she prepares Dave Albue for his next scene. G'South Pacific Presented to SRO Audience Tension mounted behind the curtain on opening night while the lights were dimmed and the overture began in the orchestra pit. After ten weeks of hard work and practice, the last two nights of South Pacific were played to a full house-standing room only. Under the direction of Mr. Roy Johnson, A Cappella choir presented Rogers and Hammer- stein's successful broadway musical, South Pacific. Each member of the choir gave an au- dition consisting of a pantomine, a reading, and a song. Characters were then chosen according to each member's particular talent and person- ality. Featured in leading roles were Ellen Landman as Ensign Nellie Forbush, and Chuck Marting as the French planter, Emile de Becque. Sailor Keith Mann enjoys a short dance with Lindsay Powell, the lively Bloody Mary.
