King Mike Cookas and Queen Ann Calosio reigned at halftime ceremonies. Mike Cookas rises happily as he is announced Homecoming King, 1966. Circus Mood Unfolds a Week of Activities Signaling the start of Homecoming festivi- ties was the pep assembly held Monday in the gym. Candidates for court were announced. Halls were packed four deep with students watching the pageantry of colored cages and wagons during the parade Tuesday as the pro- cession marched in time to the bands' beating drums. Students voiced their choices for Home- coming candidates when voting took place Wednesday in homerooms. Dancing began in the gym as everyone was dismissed from school early on Thursday. Many students attended the after-school homecoming dance from three to five o'clock. Final activity for the week was the pep as- sembly on Friday. Skits were given and then, during the final moments, there was an aura of suspense in the gym as the royalty was pro- claimed. Mark Pederson crowns a happy Queen, Ann Calosio.
