114 Mary Jo Jaworski practices diligently on the balance beam. Two rival teammates vie for the tipoff. Barb Kubinski bowls with high hopes for a strike. GAA Tackles a Busy Agenda GAA started in with activities on the first day of the school year with Freshman Day. Of- ficers visited with each class explaining the or- ganization of the Girls' Athletic Association. Their campaign ran for the first week with reg- istering and paying of fees. Christmas arrived, and with it came the visit of Santa Claus to the GAA meeting. In February the club held its initiation. Members who had earned twenty-four points or more were presented with a state GAA pin. Spring also brought the annual Mother-Daughter Tea festivities. Plans were drawn up for a swim- ming party and the selection of two girls to at- tend a leadership camp in Wisconsin.
