West. Jointly work- ing with the sponsor, Mr. Tesdall, the Key Club had a hay ride, after-game dance and a sale of West High pennants. They also sponsored a student reception for Mr. Stallman and club leaders in September. Mem- bership was limited to boys in the upper quarter of their class, with a recommendation of the dean and an approval of the membership committee. Officers this year were Gary Hardy, presidentg Larry Kubinski, vice-president, Richard Olson, secretary, and Emil Petrussa, treasurer. THIRD AlGh8Il1iStS AIIDIIYITIUUS Pl'0hBd the w0l'ld of SCi8IICB Delving into the fields of science not usually studied in the classroom was an important reason students joined the science club, Alchemists Anonymous. Most members, such as Fred Klein, King of AA, and Anita Venzara, Queen, had an intense interest in the scientific nature of the world. P. G. Koutnik sponsored this club which showed a film from the Argonne laboratories at each meeting. These films depicted different areas of research. A one-half hour demon- stration or lecture was given after the film. Alchemists Anon- ymous sponsored Saturday field trips to the University of ROW: Paul Bush, Don LaBorde, Dan DeWitt, Gary Horwitz, Jerry Lane, Norman Hall, Franklin Hall, Pat Donnelly, Marshall Brown, Paul Steinquish. FOURTH ROW: Dave Brown, David Voots, Mike Jolley, Bob Pollack, Tim Reynolds, Mike Marentic, David Hillgs- land, Sydney Lane, Richard Steller, Ray Shroba, Glenn McCarthy, Paul Thran, Jim Moroz.
