Tina Wood - Crowned As The First Miss Alpha Omega On December 23, 1965, Tina Wood received the thrill of being the first girl to be honored as Miss Alpha Omega. This contest was initiated by the Alpha Omega Staff as part of the festivities of their annual Winter Formal. All Senior girls were eligible for the honor. After being judged on personality, poise, appearance, academic achievement and service to the school, Kathy Gollier and Sue Lindsay were chosen as runners-up to Tina as Miss Alpha Omega. Tina is pictured here in the various phases of her busy school life. Although she has only been at West for two years, Tina has been involved in many school activities. In the fall, Tina was chosen as Senior Homecoming Attendant. She has also been in Stu- dent Council and Speech Activities Club. When not reading Mad Magazine or working on pages for her job as Underclass Editor of the yearbook, Tina still finds time to study, as shown by her membership in the National Honor Society. It is obvious that Tina well deserved the title of Miss Alpha Omega, proving her an excellent example of the ideal Senior girl.
