Performance Are Still the Best C C ci, Tom Cockbill, Donna Around an imposing nucleus from the world renowned band of old J.T.H.S. has been built the sparkling new band of J.T. West. Already, they have established a tradition of vivacious half-time performances during the football games with their stirring music and disciplined marching routines. In order to have their Fall performances down pat, the new West Band met often during the hot days of August to practice their numbers. Their hard-working new conductor, Mr. Katter- john, drew some remarkable performances out of these musicians. An experienced director of out- standing bands, Mr. Arthur Katterjohn came to Joliet West from Saline, Michigan. His belief in striving for superior performances has been proven time and again, in concerts and at basket- ball and football games.
