Registration day arrives, and every student faces the harrowing experience of standing in line for hours. SX Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow classes begin! A student's life is divided into two major categories, academic and social activities, Upon regis- tration, students beginanother year of these busy activities. There is much to come in the next nine months of school---dances, term papers, exams, plays and trips. So here we are, knowing sophomores and puzzled freshmen, standingin line for hours in order to register, so we can begin another academic and social year. Our hours of frustration are rewarded, though, by our first social activity, the annual picnic held at Inwood Park. Something New Has Been Added . . 111 E! 5-'11 JC students relax and enjoy the modern facilities of our new col- lege cafeteria. X 1,1 mmf T 5 I lisa - 7 I 1 fu When the students came to HC this fall, there were some surprises awaiting them. Until this year UC students had eaten in the high school cafe- teria. This year they moved into their own cafe- teria with all new equipment. Another addition was a new smoker across from the college office. The old smoker was remodeled and became the Press Club office. The library also got a new look. New book shelves and check-out desk were installed. All these improvements have given the college the Forward Look. . ' gist t, .,-' 1 The new smoker is a very popular place in which students can relax and have gab sessions.
