The newly-elected olllzicers, when their names were called, stepped lorward and were presented with a candle. As one hody they then tooli the oath of office and lighted their candles. These lighted candles represent the ever-ready help that the otl-'icers will give to the XV0lIl6ll'S Athletic Association. The officers lor the current year were: President, Helen Xveelxsg Vice-President, Phyllis Stone: Secretary-Treasurer, hluriel Qshornez Head of Sports, lxlarion Lennon: Head of Puhlicity, lxlargaret Haynes. Alter the candle-lighting service Ftrs. Kirhy told us the purpose and aims of the XV.A,A. All the heads of sports then came forward and as a group repeated the oath of office.
