As a a single mimeographed sheet, The Blazer First made its appearance in l930. The pur- pose of the paper was. and still is, to give the students an accurate account of the activities. to present readable- and interesting features, stories, humor. and editorials. The effect which the paper strives to create is a composite word picture of student life. At present it has a one hundred per cent circu- lation among the student laody of the college, as the paper is included in the student activity fee. The Blazer is strictly a student affair. Responsibility and credit for the entire puta- lication belong to students. The BLAZER Publioizes This year the publication has been under the editorship of George Galvin. George has worked hard to make the paper a suc- cess, and it is through his untiring efforts with the cooperation of the other members of the stalzf that the paper enjoys the repuf tation that it does. Another member of the stalll who gets more grief than praise is Ben Smith, business manager. Twenty other experienced news-hawks malce up the re-st of the staff. Last but not least. the steadying influence is furnished by lvliss Lois Hyde. The Blazers' capable and efficient faculty adviser. Page Twenty-eight Blazer
