Headed by Harris Enderson, class counselor who has been with us since we were freshmen, the class has gone through a variety of activities together and come out richer as the result of shared expe- riences Presenting HARVEY as the senior play the class proved itself worthy of undertaking a project that combined talents and tempers to produce a pol- ished and finished performance The money from the play will be used to buy the traditional class gift, which as of this writing is undecided. Reserved especially for seniors was the oppor- tunity to go to Washington, D. C. in May. Di- rected by Walter Meyers and under the supervision -24- of the Social Science Department, the class boarded the train in Chicago and spent an eventful five days in and around the capital city of our country Ivy Day is an extra-special day which has be- come a treasured tradition at J T Taking place on June 12 this year the class gathered around the Fountain and planted the time-honored ivy The class poet read his Ivy Day Poem, the class orator spoke his lines, and the class president presented the Betsy Ross Flag to the upcoming senior class presi- dent Also, the D A R Good Citizenship award was presented to the honored senior girl Climaxed by commencement week-the bac- calaureate ceremonies, Ivy Day, the Prom, and fin- ally graduation night-we went our separate ways, rich in the friends and experiences that T. has given us.
