To Coach Darryl Leonhart, the class of 1959 has chosen to dedicate this edition of the Jo-Hi- Se-An. His untiring efforts, suoport, end service to the school and the community, his true sports- manship in athletics, and his kind and Jovial per- sonality, ail seemingly so often unappreciated, are assets for which this class and many others are grateful. We, the seniors of 1959, take great pride in dedicating this tenth edition of the Jo-Hi-Se-An to an excellent sportsman, a fine counselor, and a true friend, Mr. Darryl Leonhart.

Sup itiitendent’a Aiet ag As I review the 1958-1959 school year, it has been a pood one for the school, faculty and students. One teacher per prade in our eleme- mentary school, new classrooms, opportunity to take more subjects that were offered; band and instrumental music instruction, great success in speech, music and athletic activities with almost 100% participat- ion. There were more hot lunches served to the students than ever be- fore during the school year. But what gives me the greatest pleasure is the realization that the Seniors of 1959 are eouipoed with the fun- damentals which will enable them to take their proper places in soc- iety as useful, worthwhile productive citizens; a credit to themselves their home and their school. This reflects credit and praise of the highest order to the many fine teachers and parents who have worked together through the years to produce keen, intelligent, alert boys and girls. It is indeed a thrill and a pleasure to be a part of a system and institution which is rendering such an efficient and worthwhile prog- ram to the community which it serves. ■«-» Education is a companion which no misfortune can decrease, no crime destroy, no enemy alienate, no despotism enslave; at home a fri- end, abroad an introduction; in solitude a solace, in society an orna- ment. It chastens vice, guides virtue, and gives grace and govern- ment to genius. Education may cost financial sacrifice and mental pain, but in both money and life values it will repay every cost one hundred fold. THIS PARE SPONSORED BY!
