poem HELTNES GROCERY LAKE MILLS, IOWA T'was the fall of '57 In the little school of Joice; The Senior class consisted, Of three girls and seven boys. Let’s start with Sandra Petersburg, Who was always on the go; With school work and activities. Much interest she did show Gary Brue so tall and fair, Was quite a handsome chap; Each Thursday he’d come early. To study the weekly map. When it came to singing, Eva Olson was first choice; She sang a lot of solos. With her soprano voice. James Ostrao like to study, He rode the bus each day; When the teachers called on him. He’d answer right away. Arlyn Tenold was fond of ball. He enjoyed to practice to; When it came to making points. He always scored quite a few. In Mr. Ennen’s office, Larry Dietrich was sure to be; Not because of discipline He worked up there, you see. Taking pictures for the annual. Was Vincent Fibelstad's Job; He snapped his victims one by one Catching every grin and sob. Jerry Clark was happy. When to Boys' State he could go; His Junior year was made complete. Much interest he did show. As a member of the Cheerleaders, Beverly Elwood worked so hard Playing on the basketball team. She was a faithful guard. Richard Ballandby liked sports too, With basketball best of all; He also played on the baseball team. In the spring and in the fall. This concludes the Senior Class Graduation time draws near; May lifes future well be spent. Because of school days here.
