SENIOR LASSIII TORY The hydrogen bomb is capable of destroying and changing large areas of land and buildings Everyone knows that the hydrogen bomb can do many great things You have heard of the hydrogen bomb, but perhaps you have not heard of the seniors of 1956 We do not plan on destroying large areas of land and buildings, but we are planning on doing and seeing many great things. In the fall of 1952, sixteen eager freshmen took their places in the Joice High School. Jimmy Aasland was elected as President, Donna Brunsvold Vice President, e Evans Secretary, David Anderson Treasurer, and Barbara Schott Reporter The rest of the members of the class were: Jerry Kallheim, Gary Rogness, Marian Dahlby, Leslie Evans, Royden Heimdal, Clinton Terbeck,Roger Elwood, Jimmy Stensrud, Gary Medlang,Joe Malloy, and Roger Van Hooser. One of the big events during our freshman year was initiation, which we will all remember Our class advisor during this year was Mrs Slattum In our sophomore year, there were the same number present to take their places once again During this year we were sorry to see Gary Rogness leave us, but added into our class Eugene Nelson David Anderson was elected President, Beth Evans Vice President, Barbara Schott Secretary, and Marian Dahlby Treasurer During this year with H s Slattum as our advisor again we had lots of fun plan ning a initiation party for the freshmen In our junior year there were seventeen members to take their places The new member was Sandra McLaughlin Leslie Evans was elected President, James Aaslana Vice President, Sandra McLaughlin Secretary, and Beth Evans Treasurer Our class advisor for our junior year was Mrs Emmons During this year many things happened, but the one that probally caused the most excitement was when our class rings arrived The junior class play entitled 'ACCIDENTAL B RO' under the direction of Mr McLaughlin was put on very well and everyone enjoyed it very much We will all re lots of fun In our senior year, we came back to take our places with two missing The two missing were Royden Heimdal who went to school in Fergus Falls, and Sandra McLaughlin who moved to LuVerne Marian Dahlby was elected President, Roger Van Hooser Vice President, Donna Brunsvold Secretary, Roger Elwood Treasurer, Beth Evans Reporter The Senior Class play entitled 'BELLES ON TH IR TOESW under the direction of Mrs Duane Slattum was well attended and everyone did a fine job The Junior Senior Banquet was enjoyed very much, this year being it was our turn to guess where it would be held, what we would eat, and many other things During our last school year all the classes selected a King and Queen The Sen ior Class selected Joe Malloy as King and Marian Dahlby selected as Queen candidate Roger Van Hooser Donna Brunsvold Clinton Terbeck The ways of love are sometimes devious For instance, take Joesph and Marian on their first date Some little time had passed since they reached the doorstep at the end of an evening of fun and frolic.
