The next day while visiting old friends in Joice he met Richard on the street. They had an interesting conversation talking over old times. Richard told him that one of his most interesting experiences had been one day several years earlier, during pheasant season, he was driving along in his car along a wooded area, when he noticed two men in a car ahead who were hunting from their car, he was surprised to see two of his former high school teachers from Joice High Mr Leonhart and Hr McLaughlin in the car Lt first Richard was very angry with them but realizing they were now old and their legs weren't quite as strong as before, he warned them not to continue the practice Ronnie discovered from Richard that he had married and now had a fine family of three children Richard also informed him that Bonnie Aamodt, a former classmate, was still persuing her profession as a nurse in the Mayo Clinic THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY CHRISTIANSON GRANSKOU NOR THWOOD C0 OP AUTO INSURANCE ELEVATOR JOICE, IOWA NORTHWOOD, IOWA 0 home town, Joice, Iowa. The story of the plot of his operetta begins when young Prince Dean, the only son of wealthy parents, is giving a party. He lives in 'the big house on the h1ll'. Prince is very popular with the boys and girls, for in addition to being handsome and likeable there is nothing of the snob about him. His friends live on botn sides of the tracks and everyone is invited, and what a comical assortment they are It is the opinion of everyone that pretty little Cindy Lou is his favorite Cindy Lou's father is dead and her mother is remarried to a widower with two daughters, Flora and Dora Cindy Lou is Jealous of her step sisters and aided and abetted by her mother, she sees to it that Flora and Dora are kept in the background and reduced to the status of servants Very few, if any, of Cindy Lou's friends know of the existence of Flora and Dora, who are heart broken be cause they are never invited to any of the parties So their father arranges for his wife Ctheir step motherj to be out for the evening and a sympathetic neighbor lends Flora and Dora two beautiful dresses belonging to her daughters It is arranged that Flora and Dora will come to the party uninvited but they must be home and in bed by ten o'clook so their step mother will not discover their adsense. Arriving at Pr1nce's home, they are visions of loveliness and enchant those whom they encounter When Cindy Lou discovers their presence, she is furious and threatens to tell her mother They beg and plead with her to allow them just one evening of happiness but Cindy Lou refuses Kfor she knows they will outshine her at the party Something goes wrong with the lights and in the darkness, Flora and Dora flee, each leaving behind a left slipper Prince discovers the slgmer and wants to know who the two Cinderellas can be One of the boys, whose great sorrow is that he is cursed with the name of Cuthbert Percy Algernon Custard, has beeatshe ing to Flora and Dora and learns they are Cindy Louis step sisters He and ten other boys who have seen Flora and Dora come to the conclusion that the slippers belong to the sisters, for none of the other girls is minus aslipper Cuthbert tells everyone Cindy Lou is jealous of her step sisters because they are so beautiful A repentant Cindy Lou admitted it and offers to apologhn publicly to Flora and Dora when Prince gives Carter and Dudley the two slippers and sends them to find Flora and Dora and bring them back to the party They arrive and Cindy Lou embraces them and makes a vow that inthe future things will be different in their home, for she will see to it So all ends happily Here is the familiar Cinderella story in reverse, a 'Streamlined Cinderella ' CHARACTERS Prince Dean a rich young chap Dennis Bilyeu Cindy Lou his favorite girlfriend Rosemary Sherwood Veronica a rich young girl Dorothy Schott Dora Cindy Lou's step sister Sue VanH0oser Dudley friend of Prince Marshall Arneson Carter friend of Prince Lynn Schmidt Cuthbert Custard a lonely young fellow Wayne Hedlang THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY L E PLUMMER L A SHARP LAWYER BANKERS LIFE Noawawoon, IOWA Nonfrnwoon.
