CLASS HI TORY .C...i...d, As spring came around the plants showed their talents by presenting their class play, A Case of Springtime . The plants didn't shut their eyes until late the night of the play, for they were busy decorating their garden for the Junior and Senior Banquet and Prom. The moon shone brightly over the garden as we invited the Seniors into our garden. ln the summer of 1954, the plants held another festival in their garden. One of the plants, Lois Reed, surprised us by getting married, the plants in return surprised her by giving her a kitchen shower. The plants were fully leafed out as they went into the hands of their Senior Advisor, Mr. Tyrol Noble. The plants proved to be good salesmen as they sold over one thousand dollars worth of magazines. Leading this sales drive was Donald Rinehart. After the magazine sales the plants resumed their studies, until they had the scrap drive. We were sorry that one of our plants, Norman Rupe, was injured in this drive. The plants journeyed to Smuckers Studio in Mansfield to have their portraits made. We noticed a new plant in our garden, as Melvin Plotner entered our garden, for a total of 31 plants. The plants are looking forward to future activities, which will be the presenting of the senior class play, Father Knows Best , the senior trip, and the Junior and Senior Prom. We are sure that from the garden there will be a great harvest, which will put forth much effort toward the making of better citizens. The garden, as it grew, formed a V , which now stands for Victory .

CLASS HISTORY In the month of September XQ43, seed was furnished to Johnsville School for a garden by the entering of 39 pupils. Mrs. Mary Ward plowed the lot and planted the seed to start them on their growth of education. With the sunshine that came there was also rain, with each year that went by each teacher watched the garden closely and tilled it in order to make it grow. As we enter the Junior High School the seeds have grown into plants. The sun was shining as we went to view Perkins Observatory at Delaware, afterwards the girls were entertained with a slumber party at Hosacks'. Later that year we enjoyed a reception given to us by the Freshman Class. On May I9, 1951, we saw how the plants had grown by the graduating from Junior High School to High School. We were neatly hoed by our Freshman advisor, Mr. Edward Smith, and watered as Bonnie Beck gave a Halloween Party for the class. As we grew, we gave the Eighth and Ninth Grade Reception. Mr. James Dilvloelo continued to till the soil of our garden as we entered our Sophomore year. Two plants, Shelby Riffe and Charlotte Baker gave a Halloween Party for the class. The plants sneaked out of the garden and sponsored a bake sale. We lost one of our plants, Barbara Danals, as she emerged from our garden to get married, and the class gave her a kitchen shower. In the summer of 1952 the garden was a gay place as the class held a festival, and also enjoyed a party given by Shirley Pearce. Weeds were pulled out as Mr. Kenneth Kennedy advised us through our Junior year. The plants went together and had a lot of fun as they held a Halloween Party at the Township house in North Woodbury. A new glow was added to our garden as we received our class rings. The plants drew in sunshine as they sold concessions at noons and at football and basketball games. As everyone in the garden joined hands, we sponsored a school dance for grades 7-12.
