J OHNSVILLE CHAPTER OF F F A The Johnsvllle F F A started wxth 39 members at the begmnmg of the school year We have partlclpated ln nearly all of the actlvxtxes of Dl9tFlCt 8 Durmg the last year we rented a farm and planted corn and soy beans last sprmg Thls fall we plcked half of the corn early so we could plant some wheat We are now ln the process of bulldlng a fence for the farm We had our thxrd annual pest hunt thls vear Ronald Kunze and Don Bloom were captalns of the opposmg teams Don s slde was the wm ner We were also competlng wxth Chestervllle at the same tlme and were vlctorlous by more than doublmg the score agamst them We have Just flmshed selllng Vlvalxty seeds Our net sales was S325 whlch IQ S25 more than our estxmated goal We purchased chlckens co operatlvely for the beneflt of those who wanted to carry them as '1 project We also bought strawberrles ln the same manner The F F A h1s had a softball and a basketball team thxs vear and had a swlmmmg partv Vtlth the F H A glrls We are also planmng' a roller skatlng party for the glrls We hope that 1n the comlng years we can obtaln a hlgher goal Wlth the help of the F F A and our worthv advlsor Mr Clpp
