'fthe Class of 1953 in an absolutely unbiased manner The scenes all take place ln the corridors, classrooms, and annltorlzm of the high school building. Q Class History Act I shows the arrival of the class in the ,hulls of learning with Mildred Dovne, Presidentg Charles Genson, Vice-Presidents James Evers, Seorotaryg Raymond Linn, Treasurer: Mildred Dems and Carol Jordan, Student Connell Representatives: Wallace Sipe, Class Rsportsrg am! Kiss Edna Eaughten, Adviser. The first villain 'Study' ls of alarming size, and proportion and is alsays interfering sadly with the Joys and leisure of the actors, nov known as Fresh- men, thirty-six in all. lov as the not draws to a close, 'l:am , the brother of Shady , creates e mental crisis. But the freshmen, by one last spurt oi' their tired. brains, vin. more was gaysty, tho'-1811. as we had Halloween and Christmas parties. As the first curtain falls the actors are a little puzzled at 'Stub' but are rejoicing end. happy with what they have accomplished. Act II finds most of the players in the same roles, but having advanced in rank are nov known as 'Sophomorssh Thirty-four of no returned to take revenge on the green Freshmen, sith David Armstrong, Presiclentg Carol Jordan, Vice-Presldentg Doris Wilkinson, Ssoretsryg Danny Kitchell, 'rreaeurerg David. Armstrong and G-one Yhite, Student Gounoil Rspresentatlveeg Jerry Greene, Clase Reporter-g and Hrs. Agnes Burch, Adviser. A touch of pathos is found in tint some of the cast have had trouble with 'Study' and 'Isla' and are tumble to appear in the second act. Having had a little more sqaerlence, we nov have a feeling of security and ease of manner that was noticeably lacking in Act I. A few love efairs take place andres nsml s few more of the actors desert the Caste A As Act III opens we find. that villain 'Study' has called out a tw more actors from the ranks. me remaining members have changed a. little in features and are nov knovn as 'Jnnierek At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: Raymond. Linn, President: Bavid Armstrong, Vice-President.: Betty Dawson, Secretary: Denny Kitchell, Trsasurerg Raymond Linn and. Ann Smith, Student Gouncil Representatives: Mildred Downs, C1l.es'Beporter3 and Hrs. Agnes Burch, Advisor. We were one happy family. Some of our social affairs consisted of the Halloween and Christmas parties, the festivals, the Junior Class Play, 'The Awkward Penne , and the giving of our Junior-Senior Banquet. me villains 'Study' and 'Ima' come prominently into the spotlight, the actors try to vin again. Some find themselves out in front, such as our six members of our Honor Society: David Armstrong, Mildred Downs, Garol Jordan, Raymond Linn, Danny Mitchell, and.Ann Smith. Before the curtain falls 'Study' and 'Inn' are to be thrice, defeated.. 'Danny Kitchell, in 'This lisht Shall Pass , represented our class in the finals of the State One Act Play Contests. ki ll 29
