Class Motto'-- AS UNTO HIM Class Colors--Mint Green and Gray Class Flower--Yellow Rose Class Poem-- 'I'he unknown future lies ahead, We cannot change the past, We are living for the present As unto Him--our task. Whatever we have done for God, Whatever we do yet Will never pay even in part, As unto Him--our debt. ASUNTOHIM Help us, Dear Lord, to live for thee Each moment of our days, That every task may prove to be As unto Him--always. Since we can no longer follow, But must come forth to lead, Help us to guide, that we may show As unto Him--we lead. - -Mary Jane F ronzoli 15

Our hopes looked awfully dim for a large class at the end of last year but they have risen with the first day of school this year when Mary jane Fronzoli and Avon Yoder joined our ranks. Thus, our class has stayed exactly the same size since our sophomore year, with five girls and six boys. Oar class is the first with the most number of students to have completed all their education thus far at j.M.S . The past year was highlighted for us seniors by our class tour to Washington, D.C. , in April, our class night in the early spring, and finally, the baccalaureate and commencement . Being a senior, it is hard to believe that this is your last year of high school. What will the coming years hold for us? 14 4

' -.Wwubfz ga, ue! On the afternoon of May ll, 1956, excitement was at its peak. After all those mysterious-looking posters appearing on the bulletin hoard, the Seniors wondered where the banquet would be held. At six o'clock the Juniors escorted the Seniors and Faculty to the Y Dairy Dine . The theme, Civil War Days, was set forth by the decorations and inter- esting program . A Congressional Address was given by Abe Lincoln, David Shetler. Paul Lehman freed the Seniors from the bondage of studying with his Emancipation Proclamation . Special music was furnished by the Carpetbaggers, a men's quartet, and the Abolitionists, a girls' trio. The Class Will was given by Joan Hershberger, and the Class Prophecy, by Bro. Shetler. Eugene Herr, our guest speaker, gave us an inspirational talk challenging us to serve Christ . The evening ended with the realization that another school term had drawn to a close . 16
