BO RD OF ED UCAT10 The nine men, who are chosen annually by the patron body, spend many hours each month planning and working for J.M .S . The tasks sometimes are not too pleasant, but there are pleasant duties which they do perform . These men are conscious of the responsibilities that are placed upon them . Through their untiring efforts the school has prospered and students have gone from the school with their blessings . Through the help of the patron body prob- lems have been solved, and by the constant prayer and financial support of each patron, even greater things can be accomplished. The board is indeed grateful for the splendid teaching staff . They hope for the continuance of such high ideals which have helped the school in the past. May God's blessings be upon you, teachers, and may your reward be in the many lives you have touched and helped to start aright . Our constant prayer is that the students of our school will be well aware of the golden opportunity they have of attending a Christian school . Give of your best, and the best will return Sevenfold. Shall we, the teachers, the students, and the patrons, work together for the glory of Christ's kingdom in preparing lives for eternity? Left to right. Seated: Owen Lehman, Delmar Shetler, Harold Thomas, Richard Kaufman, Glenn Thomas Standing: Erwin Harshherger, Ernest Lehman, james Cable, Ammon Shetler . 6 This page sponsored by Terrace CheVl'O1et CO. DEDI CA TI 0 In appreciation for the Christian training we have received at J. M. S. , we gratefully dedicate this 1956 MEM-O-RE to the cause of Christian Education. BUILDERS Hattie Vo se Hall A Builder builded a temple, He wrought it with grace and skillg Pillars and groins and arches All fashioned to work his will . Men said, as they saw its beauty, It shall never know decay, Great is thy skill, O Builder! Thy fame shall endure for aye . A Teacher builded a temple With loving and infinite care, Planning each arch with patience, Laying each stone with prayer . None praised her unceasing efforts, None knew of her wondrous plan, For the temple the Teacher builded Was unseen by the eyes of man. Gone is the Builder's temple, Crumbled in to the dust, Low lies each stately pillar, Food for consuming rust, But the temple the Teacher builded Will last while the ages roll, For that beautiful unseen temple Was a child's immortal soul.
