The goal of this group was to puhlish a paper once a month but. sorry to say, we have not accomplished it. Some ol' the tlepartmsnts in our newspaper are: XVho's VVho? Campus Chatter. Chapel and Literary, Clulis, antl other articles of interest to every one. The paper does fill a tlelinite part in school life antl all of us look forward eagerly to the next issue. Handicraft Club The officers are as follows: Norma Calile. president: Rhoda Thomas. vice- president: Esther .-Xlwine. secretary-treasurer: Miss Showalter. adviser. The work we had planned for the year included sewing clothing. crocheting. knitting. stuf- fing toys. textile painting. and making hook ends. Ot course. we didn't get to nearly all of these activities. VVe helped the woodworking lioys paint their novelties. Most of our time we spent in textile painting. XVe honght a set of Prang textile paints for the clnli which can he used in lilllllft years. XVL' cut our own stencils and most ol' ns painted flower designs on hanlties. aprons, scarfs. an.l pillow cases. oodworking Club This active clnli meets in the Iohn Livingston shop near the school. Maynard Thomas is the adviser: Duane Nlishler, president: and Leonard Shetler, secretary- treasurer. At the heginning of the year the adviser showed us how to run and how to use the many machines. Erwin Harshberger supplies the club with the wood that the club needs for making their articles. Some members made broom-holders and others made novelties for the sewing classes at school.
