Eash. BACK ROW: R. Beisel, H. Weaver. S. Shetler, Bro. Lehmu Social Committee The ofilicers ofthe committee are as follows: chairman, Dean Shetlerg secretary. Lois Harshbergerg treasurer, Herbert Weaver. Other members are Stanwyn Shetler, Ruth Thomas, Ruth Beisel, and Esther Miller, with Bro. Lehman and Miss Eash as advisers. The first social was planned forthe seventh and eighth grades and high school on September 19 and was held in a near-by field. Refreshments were root heer, which the Social Committee made, and potatoes roasted in the red coals of the campfire. On October 244, the high school had a Halloween party. The students went for a surprise ride above the North Fork Dam while the social committee got the party in readiness. Then we came back to the school because the weather was not suitable to have it outside. A ghost was at the top of the stairs and splashed water on each one as he came up. It was decided to go caroling December 21, at the Old Folks' Home, Childrens Home, and the Somerset County Iail. One-half hour was spent at each place. The occupants seemed to enjoy the songs very much. The committee planned an informal sledding party in Ianuary. We all had a lot of fun with the exception of those who suffered a few wrecks. VVe had a surprise Leap Year Social on February 27, which was enjoyed by all. During the spring, socials were more frequent. FRONT ROW: E. Miller, R. Thomas, D. Shetler, L. Hcrshberger, Mss Il
