Religious Life Committee The Religious Life Committee consists of Iiva Milier, chairman, Herbert XVL-aver, assistant chairman: Mildred Harshherger, secretary, Paul Thomas, Iune Beisel, Iohn lidrei Lehman, with Brother Shetler as faculty adviser. The work of this committee is to prepare the programs for the morning devotions, chapel, and chorus trips. The committee meets once a week. In our morning devotional service of twenty minutes, teachers, as well as pupils, take part in singing, scripture reading, and prayer. Chapel services are held every four weeks, the third period on Friday, with such themes as The Fourfold Man, Answered Prayer, and Mennonite History. During Bible school we had various instructors and visiting ministers for our morning devotions and chapel programs, which we appreciated. Those who were here during the term were, Amos Miller, Merle Eshleman, Paul Roth, Elmer Moyer. Alfred Brenner, Marvin Landis, Claude Meyers, I. Paul Graybill, and Harry Shetler. Our aim is to present the spiritual side of life among secular subiects and to make programs that enrich character. Once a month we have chapel: this is the period before lunch on Friday. In this period we have a religious program concerning church activities. One pro- gram we had was on our Mennonite leaders in the past and present: this program was very interefting. Sometimes we had ministers come in and give us talks. Some ol' the men who were here were Ross Metzler. Paul Roth. and Harry Shetler, This program has been a help and inspiration to all of us this year.

Chorus Our school chorus consists of pupils from grades seven to twelve. ln the heginning of the year we had our voices tested and were placed in the parts we should sing. VVe have four-part singing. VVe not only sing religious songs hut also secular songs. The music includes the heavier type of music as well as the lighter type. Our chorus practice period is the last period on Friday. Our principal. Sanford G. Shetler, is the director. The l500lis we use include l.il'e Songs l and 2. Church Hymnal. Golden Anthems, and some sheet music. XVe have gixen a Iiew programs in the local community, as well as some on tour in the Southwestern Conference District. The chorus period starts with some confusion sometimes until all lind their places and exchange some conversation, hut finally the pitch pipe is hlown and we get in tune. Alter approximately an hour of singing, we are about ready to rest. We enioy this period very much and it is a nice way to end each week. VVe rind our appreciation for good music is increased. and our spiritual life is refreshed. FRONT ROW: R. Yoder, L. Shetler, L. Hostetler, B. Sheller, A. Lehman, B. Yoder, E. Alwine, R. Thomas, L.
