.-.FW ew J 'A '1 bums 3 j vnovulcv ...ga .- . v It is the year 1971. The class of 1951 is holding their annual reunion on the 4th of Julybecause they were always firecrackers. First we see President Dave Ben- son. Dave has been driving with Joy Chitwood's Daredevils for the past Z0 years. Riding with Dave in his hopped up Model A are Jim Montgomery and Tom Hart- sock. Dave pickedthemup at the Yankee Stadium after their ba l game this afternoon. Tom isn't eating much corn off the cob today as he was hit with a ball by the third baseman. Jim is coaching the Yankee fan club this year. Jim feels right at home. Over to our left is Shifty Cauliflour Needels and John Red nose, Blackfoot Wat- sewah. Both are heavy weight contenders for the midget this summer. Well, I see Dave is having trouble with his Model A . Now he has Dalton Houck and Leo Kas- son, famous mechanics from Mechanics Burg, working on it. Of course, we mustn'tforgetour host and hostess, Jeanne and Glenn Snow. They now have a beautiful home here in California, which Glenn built out of plaster. Now over to our right we see Rev. Highpockets Johnson. Hello Rev. , how are you? Just fine. Ijust came back from Trinidad. You know I'm working with the Jews. As of now I have seven wardrobes of clothes and three automobiles and I've only spent 5769. 34. And of course here is Bob Keeran, who has swindled Blynn Evans out of some Brick Create. Let's leave Bob for a minute now because I see four memb-ers of the California Crackers coming over this way. They are Marvin Fleshman and Rich- ard Chapman, who have been playing professional accordion for about fifteen years, and Dan Jones and Bob Walker, who are more famous now than Les Paul was twenty years a o. Well, look who just came down the lane in their old Tucker. Why it's Teddysses Peck. Where have you been, Teddy? Oh, fishinses. Catch any? Yessums. Ten catfishes. Say here comes Mr. and Mrs. Scron Scredeford and son Scrany on their Allis Chalmers. Scrany's been out plowing this morning. Bruce Benedict, the champion tennis playerg Keith Ashbrook, the professional skeeter catcher, and Jack Ankrom from Hollywood are way ahead of everyone else. They're already eating. No won- der we couldn't find them. We are all together today except for two people, Calvin Clay and Tom Dague. Calvin had to go to a Senate Crime investigation in New York. Sen. Kefauver was ill so Calvin is taking over. Oh! yes, and Tom Dague had to take a payload from the graveyard over to Russia in his jet. Tom is trying to make the Iron Curtain more substantial. Oh! don't think the class of 51 didn't have any girls. Sitting beside me is Joan Clutter, who has just been released from jail. She was picked up five years ago for wreckless driving. She was put in jail for five years and her driver's license suspended for eight years. Who would be at the door now? No one but Lynn Plalen, our Queen of the 4th of July Parade here in California. It was awfully hard to decide between five girls: Carol Edwards, Mary Jo Fohl, Lee Freshwater, and Bonny Keeran, who are her attendants. Over to my right is Delores Holbrook, who runs the Hot Rod races. Here come two of our bestOpera Singers in Hollywood, Dolores Davis and Beverly Myers. You can see them on stage every night in downtown Hollywood. Across from me is the Gossip Flingers, one of the best baseball teams for girls anyone could, ask for. The team includes Jenny Hopkins, who is pitcher, Dot Priest, catcher, Margie Lafferty, first base, Lucille Smith, second base, and Helen Green, third base. They have won two games and lost six. We mustn't forget Audrey Moats and Nancy Denman, who are two of the cheer- leaders for the girls' baseball team, otherwise known as the Jumping Jacks. Guess who's here from the Fred Astaire Dancing Studio. None other than Mary Jane Montgomery. Closing our reunion, we see Nancy Burrell who led the band in the 4th of July Parade giving a baton twirling exhibition. As the curtain closes on this get-togcth- er, we are happy for the opportunity of seeing our notorious classmates once more. 19
