Mr. Sherman was a dedicated teacher and was admired by all. He enjoyed teaching and lent every effort to developing each boy's talents in the field of industrial arts. His students enjoyed his unique way of teaching in which he combined humor and fun with work. Mr. Sherman spent a great deal of time training boys in the assembling of engines and motors. Several of his boys became so proficient that they entered the Plymouth Trouble Shooting Contest and, in 1965, won th,e regional trophy. A fund has been established at Johnstown High School for a deserving industrial arts student, and through this memorial, the memory of Mr. John King Sherman will remain alive at IHS. -.va P e gyyg gs G9 Li , . f.,, Q 5 , x ,,.- MR. Senior Class Throughout our four years at JHS, we members of the class of 567 proved to be hard workers and capable leaders. Our senior year especially brought forth our best efforts. The Senior Class Dance in January was a success as was the Faculty vs. Students Softball Game, which we revived. We industrious seniors sold magazine subscriptions and put on a successful play, With the money we made on these ventures, we had an enjoyable banquet in lVlay and a gala ball in June. With high hopes, the Class of 1967 looks ahead to a bright and successful future. In Appreciation W v--ak.,-4 Mr. Arthur Batty has contributed more to the Class of 1967 than many realize. He has acted not only as a devoted class advisor, but also as a friend to the members of the Senior Class. Because of his energetic application and ability to bring about co-operation in a pleasant atmosphere, many class functions, such as school dances, the Junior Prom, and the softball game were successes. The members of the Class of '67 will remember Mr. Batty with respect and gratitude for his untiring assistance. Q0 JOSEPH H. ALDI JON DAVID ALDRICH DAVID ALLEN LAUREL A. ANDERSON JOYCE B. In 1967, more Barone! subscriptions were sold than in the previous year and more money in advertisements Was collected. A very successful Halloween dance, featuring the EX-cels, brought in a large amount of funds. The Barone! had the coat check concession for all the home basketball games. With the additional money re- ceived, it was possible to have an attractive, embossed cover on the '67 yearbook. The new type-heading, which is italic, was another feature added to the ,67 Baronet. The Baronefs progress is evidence of the hard work and determination of a few students who want the very best for their school. W Q. COPY STAFF, Row 1: Pat Walter, Sally Klock, Lyn Foster.
