Are we 'doing His work? Let us give our best to Christ. ACTS--Harry Shetler , Acts was written by Luke and .is sometimes referred to as UThe Early Church at Workcn It is the only unfinished book of the Bible. The message of this. book is, UHOW the Work that Jesus began to do, as recorded in the Gospels, was continued by the power of the Holy Ghost. MUSIC AND CHORUS--Elem Glick, Our first few weeks of music were spent in learning the rudiments of music. I think we all appreciated this in that ithelped us in our chorus work later. Music is a method of praising and worshiping God So learning to sing better and getting more out of a song is at the same time learning to worship God better. PRINCIPLE OF TEACHING AND CHIID STUDY4-Harry Shetler In Principles of Teaching we discussed seven factors and four objectives of teaching. We learned that it is very im- portant for a teacher to know- his lesson, his Bible, and his pupil. Child Study includes importance of child life and the great place Uloven fills in life. The various charac- teristics of children are es- pecially-studied. The purpose of this class is to enable us to teach better, BIBLE SURVEY II--Paul N. Roth The purpose of Bible Survey is to get a birds eye view of the Bible, especially noticing the author, theme, and purpose of each book, Survey II covers from Job through Malachi, which includes the books of Poetry, Major Prophets and Minor Prophets, making a total of twentywtwo books. It is an in- spiring' and profitable study stimulating an interest to mama a deeper study of the Bible. MISSIONS--Paul Histand This year wespent four weeks studying Jewish Evangelism and two weeks with our City Misa sions. In Jewish Evangelism we learned the plight d'theJem without the gospel and learned ways and means of approach to meet the need. Time in our City Missions Class was spent- in studying the text NCur City Missionsn by Alta Mae Erb, Jams AND Paovsass--Harry Shetler The message of James--HFaith shown by our worksin Testings ofour faith prove two valuable things to use It trys our- faith and makes us strong in Christ, The message of Pro-- verbs--Gcdliness is intensely practical. The reasons for our church to break away from the Catholic Church were givem Men like Conrad Grebel, Menno Simons and others were willing to suffer persecution in order to preserve the pure and holy teachings of Christ. This Reformation took place in the early 1500. BIBLE CONSTRUCTION --Warren Metzler The Bible is composed of sixty-six books in one volumes Within this Book we have the revelation of God, making Him- self known to f man. God in- spired men to write through inspiration, yet it is ex- pressed everywhere throughout the Bible. The whole Book is concerned with one thing, the record of God's redemptive work from beginning to ends THE RETURN CF THE LGRD --Paul M. Roth A study was made dithe signs and manner of His second come ing The events as foretold in the scriptures were the basis for each point given. The judgment, tribulations and the end of this world. one concluding fact was reached, manely--The necessity of being prepared to go with Christ at Vis second coming. MARK--Harry Shetler Mark portrays Christ as a Servant and is a gospel of deeds rather than words. For even the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and give His life a ransom for many. BIBLE DCCTRINB--Paul Histand In Bible Doctrine class we studied about man, sin, and salvation. God created man for afpurpose.fVaneenjpyed'fel1ow- ship with God until he'sinned, Sin 'brought suffering, hard- fear, and deaths leave-man in a but provided a. from the penalty thru His great ship, guilt, God did not sinful state way to escape of sin. Grd love offered His Ron to say the p . .i Q. Q - kind. By repenting and con- fessing our sins and accepting Christ ,thru faith, man does his part in being saved. God forgives us and as we obey Him we have peace and joy and fellowship with Him. PSALMS--Elam Click ' Keyverse 29:2 O worship the Lord in the Beauty of holiness Psalms is one of the five poetical books and was written between 1500-500 B. C. The meaning of Psalms in Hebrew is Praises, and in English-Songs. David wrote about half of the Psalms, In the Psalms we see 'tha' mamfis talking tofGdd by praise, songs, and prayer.. There are fourteen Messianic Psalms which ppphecied of Jesus life here on earth. The study was interesting, profit- able, and enjoyed by all in the class. i To talk with God no breath- is lost Talk ond To walk with God no strength is lost Walk on!
