Students, were scheduled to the commons several times a week for work on programmed materials, for large group instruction, for group discussions or for browsing and reading. Grouping was changed from time to time, with students being grouped sometimes by achievement and other times by needs. While you worked hard, your teachers did, too. Team teaching involving planning and writing study guides for YOU. This was the main idea to help the individual student YOU. With programmed mathematics, study guides were used to give the students different approaches to the mathematical concepts. The study guides were cross referenced to various textbooks. These textbooks were checked out when needed for algebra and general mathematics students. Beginning seventh and eighth grade students were is- sued textbooks to accompany their study guides. This type of program provides for individual dif- ferences in that the student is doing work on his own grade and achievement level.
