PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE Dear Students, The 1957 edition of your school annual. The Bells Ring, has recorded the spirit and the action of the many pleasant and memorable events that took place at Johnston Junior High during the past year. Here is the story of the school program—your daily round of school activities—from the acedemic subjects of English, social studies, math, and science to the elective subjects of music, speech, art, sports, and others. As the days go by, you will enjoy from time to time the opportunity to re-read these pages and recall the many pleasant experiences and as- sociations that you have had here. It is our hope that this annual will help to give your parents a clearer understanding of the educational services offered by your school and the work you have done here as pictured in the annual will be a profitable step toward a pleasing and successful school career in the senior high school. Sincerely,
”
