Who's Who MICHAEL LOREDO Mike is very desirous and determined in his future intentions. Mike served as president of the National Honor Society and the I-li-Y . He was a member of the Pan American Club, Senior Council, yearbook staff, and Student Council. Mike plans to enroll in St. Edwa.rd's University and then transfer to the University of Texas. As of yet his major is undeter- ANITA JO ACOSTA Anita contributed much of herself to Johnston. As a senior she served as Student Council president, B-Team cheerleader, and secretary of the Pan American Club. Also, she was amember of the Shiloh staff and she was a Most Beautiful nominee for two years. Anita plans to attend Southwest Texas State College and the University of Texas to obtain a degree in psychology. mined but his curriculum will be pre-dental. wiih 11 NINA JEAN BREEDING Nina is an outstanding student who excells in scholarship and service. Nina served as vice-president of the Student Council and she was a mem- ber of the Shiloh staff. Also, her excellence in the classroom is symbolic of her accomplishments as a National Achievement Test Finalist. As a senior she was awarded thetitle of DAR Good Citizen by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Nina plans to attend the University of Texas with a pre-law curriculum. I25

Who's Who FRANK CRAYTON Frank attended Johnston for only five semesters but yet he contributed very much to this school. In the Student Council he served as treasurer, clerk, and a committee chairman. Also, he lettered in varsity football as a senior. In March he was honored as a Junior Rotarian by the Rotary Club of Austin. Frank intends to enroll at Delmar Technical Institute to major in restaurant management or food service. ROBERT HERNANDEZ MENDOZA Robert's most pleasing characteristic is his friendliness. While at Johnston, Robert served as president, vice-president, and reporter of the Palettes, and he was a class officer in his junior and senior year. Robert was honored by the Austin Rotary as Junior Rotarian. Robert intends to enroll in Central Texas Junior College. He will then transfer to the Uni- versity of Texas to major in commercial art. PA ULA NELL CHAPMAN Paula is a vigorous worker and a very dynamic and able leader. She served in the Student Council for seven semesters, Masquers for four years, and was chairman of the Initiation Committee for the National Honor Society, Pau1a's plans include attending Southwest Texas State College for two years. She then plans to attend college in California where her fields of concentration will be speech pathology and audiology. I24

Who's Who RENEE BURNADETTE MCCRACKEN Stick-to-itness is one of the many qualities which Renee possesses. This is shown by her involvement in both the Student Council and the Masquers for eight semesters. As a senior she was vice-president of the Masquers, editor of the Shiloh, and secretary of the Student Council. Renee's intentions include attending an out-of-state school to obtain a DAVID ZAVALA SMITH David has the unique quality of true leadership. He was president of the Student Cotmcil, German Club, and his freshman and junior class. Also, he was vice-president of the National Honor Society and his sophomore class. David was selected as Boy of the Month by the Austin Exchange Club. David's intentions include majoring in civil engineering at the University of Houston. degree in elementary education. 15?- s9.V'?: Lfrgi 52 if 7 Vk.h up I l r l f LINDA SAENZ Linda served her school well by striving for the maximum, She was treasurer of the National Honor Society, vice-president of the Palettes, and Works and Projects Committee chairman of the Student Council. Linda was Johnston's representative to Girls' State in 1967. She plans to enroll in Concordia Junior College and then transfer to the University of Texas and major in either physical therapy or art history.
